NSA Leaker Snowden's Non-Scoop About Stuxnet Proves He is NO Whistleblower

According to an interview published in the German newspaper Der Spiegel Monday, possible Venezuelan resident, and leaker of American secrets has a new revelation, this one about the famous computer virus Stuxnet
NSA [U.S. National Security Agency] and Israel co-wrote it,” Snowden said.
Well knock me over with a feather! That might have been surprising if we didn't confirm Israel's involvement in November 2010, and if the NY Times hadn't reported the US involvement two months later.

In 2010 Computer Scientists who analyzing the Stuxnet virus found a file name that refers to the Biblical Queen Esther. As kind of a message to the Iranians.

The first directory inside the virus is named “Myrtus.” The the Hebrew word for myrtle is the root of Hadassah which was Queen Esther’s Hebrew name. Given Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad constant threats against Israel, that use of Myrtus was put there as a gotcha to Ahmadinejad, a king of Jewish "Kilroy was here."

Iran is the modern day Persia (where the Purim Heroes Queen Esther and her uncle Mordecai lived).  The purpose of Stuxnet was the same as Esther and Mordecai to stop the Persians from killing millions of Jews.

Don't look for Israel to confirm the story; they don't comment on any defense action even the ones that they have nothing to do with.

One interesting part of the program is that it was put in motion by President Bush. Yes liberals, this time you can say it, Bush did it.

The project’s political origins can be found in the last months of the Bush administration. In January 2009, The New York Times reported that Mr. Bush authorized a covert program to undermine the electrical and computer systems around Natanz, Iran’s major enrichment center. President Obama, first briefed on the program even before taking office, sped it up, according to officials familiar with the administration’s Iran strategy. So did the Israelis, other officials said. Israel has long been seeking a way to cripple Iran’s capability without triggering the opprobrium, or the war, that might follow an overt military strike of the kind they conducted against nuclear facilities in Iraq in 1981 and Syria in 2007.
Why would Snowden release information that was common knowledge 2-3 years ago?  Even if Stuxnet's origins were a secret, why would he release information about an operation that was 100% foreign, that delayed a tyrannical regime from gaining nuclear weapons, possibly delaying or even preventing a war with that regime?

There is only one possible answer.  Snowden is no whistle blower. If that was his intent he wouldn't have brought up Stuxnet.  Snowden is simply a leaker, a nothing with delusions of grandeur, trying to pull himself out of obscurity so he can gain some fame.

In a few years, after his name returns to the obscurity it so richly deserves, I wonder if he will be happy living in exile in a country much less free than the one which he turned away from.
