On The Lawrence O'Donnell Show Anthony Weiner Gives Us One Last "Train Wreck"

Today New York City Democrats will go to the voting booths and select who will represent their party in the New York City Mayoral Election.  Sadly, that choice will not be former Congressman Anthony Weiner who,  according to the latest polls,  ranks somewhere below root canal without Novocaine and Obama's potential war in Syria.

My support for Weiner is entirely selfish. Ithas nothing to do with his political stances and everything to do with the fac he provides so much easy copy (his partner on the scandal ticket, disgraced Governor Elliot Spitzer doesn't have the same flair as Weiner).

Despite being disgraced, despite having a negative approval rating, the Weiner still goes out in public ready to confront anyone he comes across. And he is still at it.. before he goes back to sexting full-time Weiner decided to give us one more video "train wreck."

Last night, it was MSNBC's  Lawrence O’Donnell beating up on the Democratic mayoral hopeful by repeatedly asking Weiner the same, but important question.  "What's wrong with you?"
“I have really just one basic question I think a lot of people have wondered about,” O’Donnell started. “For me, it just comes down to this, which is: What is wrong with you?”

After an awkward pause, Weiner replied that he didn’t understand the question.

“I mean, what is wrong with you that you cannot seem to imagine a life without elective office?”

Weiner fired back: "That's ridiculous. Of course I can."

O'Donnell and Weiner then discussed if the former congressman had a pathological need to be in elective office and what, if any, productive activities Weiner did when he was not in office.

"You went out to make money as a lobbyist," claimed O'Donnell. "Anthony you did the classic hack thing and you know it."

"Lawrence I didn't do it, it's not supported by the evidence," insisted Weiner.

"You made a half million dollars, hustling your services for government intervention, countered O'Donnell.

"I was not a lobbyist," said Weiner.
“If you take the totality of your life, Anthony, do you think you’ve spent your time well?” O’Donnell asked.

“I just need a hand signal when the harangue is done,” Weiner retorted.

Toward the end, Weiner told O’Donnell to “chillax, buddy.”
Adieu, Anthony Weiner, thanks for all the copy. Till next next time you venture out into the public we have the video from last night which is embedded below:
