Breaking Only 26,794 Signed up For Obamacare Via Healthcare.Gov

The Wall Street Journal number was almost twice the actual figure.  Just released by HHS is there were only  26,794 people who signed up for private health insurance plans through Healthcare.gov during the first month of the the program. An additional 79,391 signed up through the state exchanges (half of the enrollment was in NY and California)

In addition to those who have selected private insurance plans through Obamacare’s exchanges, HHS said 396,261 had been “assessed or deemed eligible for Medicaid or CHIP,” public insurance programs for low-income adults and children.

The goal for the first month of the program was 500,000 even if you used the combined 106K figure these figures are very disappointing for the administration. At this rate the program will reach its 7,000,000 goal sometime in April 2019.
