Sharyl Attkisson Resigns From CBS News-Tired of Network's Liberal Bias

CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson has resigned after more than two decades at the network. Atkinson had grown frustrated with what she saw as the network's liberal bias, and outsized influence by the network's corporate partners and a lack of dedication to investigative reporting, according to Politico media reporter Dylan Byers.

Spokesperson for CBS news Sonya McNair said in a statement
CBS News veteran Sharyl Attkisson is leaving the news division to pursue other endeavors. We appreciate her many contributions and we wish her well.
Byers points out there was a difference in editorial philosophy between Attkisson and the network:
But Attkisson had become a polarizing figure at the network, sources there said. While some championed her relentless dedication to investigations -- ranging from defective Firestone Tires to the Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal -- others saw evidence of a political agenda, particularly against President Obama. (The bulk of Attkisson’s work since 2009 has focused on the failures or perceived failures of the Obama administration, including the administration’s failed green energy investments and the attack in Benghazi, though she has reported on several Republican failures as well.)

Others have suggested that CBS News itself was politically biased: "It's no secret that Sharyl has been unhappy about CBS's lack of interest in investigative reporting, especially when it comes to stories about the Obama administration," a source close to Attkisson said.

This blogger has a closed mind and believes that the govt would never harm its people and yet, look at the past - the givt knew of Pearl Harbor in advance and did not tell anyone, our govt, plenty of times, has used its citizens, in experiments. Our govt told its citizens that there was WMD in Iraq, and there was none..and if there was, our govt gave anyone plenty of time in advance to move out such WMD. Our CIA was instrumental in bringing the SHAH into power. We trained and created AL QAEDA to fight the Russians, in Afghanistan. We are the ones that brought Saddam into power. A trial in Mexico concerning their drug cartel reveals that our WAR on DRUGS is a joke, as the govt is the biggest drug dealer around. Same with arms, as our govt happens to be the biggest arms dealer in the world. So, you question if we indeed gave 5.5 billion to Saddam? Where there is secrets, there is deceit - if the fed was genuine in helping they would open their books up to prove Ron Paul incorrect, but they will not...keep believing he is crazy - heck, keep believing that it is crazy to ask for a transparent govt and keep believing that banks never fund both sides of wars...

rabid isolationism? ok,so you prefer our country fighting wars that do not need to be fought? You enjoy that our govt likes to meddle in everyone's affairs and has drawn the ire of many countries over our policies of interference? Cool, maybe you should do more research on the WAR on TERRORISM and the WAR in DRUGS...or look at the MIDDLE EAST and ask yourself...why are people mad at us (U.S.). Look at who we support there and look at the atrocities they have done since being there. If someone took your land and gave it to someone else, would you be happy? Ask yourself why World banks loan money to third world countries and that loan money goes to corporations who dry up their resources, leaving that country poorer than before? Damn, people are so closed minded nowadays and cannot see that they are just being used as tools, such as this blogger, for the elite.
Why should we worry about everyone else when our country has major issues in it that have not been solved? We have a govt knee deep in corporate lobbyists, and politicians who are really in one giant political party, not two - borderline fascism when you have the mainstream media, primarily owned by these self serving corporations...do you think corporations care for your well being? They do not as they care about profits and nothing else...

if this could happen:

http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2013/08/25/secret_cia_files_prove_america_helped_saddam_as_he_gassed_iran

Then it should not at all be unbelievable that we gave billions of dollars to Iraq to fight Iran, and what not....
