It hasn't been a good couple of weeks for Secretary of State Kerry. His attempt to enter the ceasefire negotiations was ridiculed in Israel, the Palestinian Territories as well as Egypt, in fact the cease fire that was eventually made was done via Egypt the exact opposite of the ceasefire he was trying to put together. His open mike gaffe about Israel was just the latest of a long series of gaffes he's made about the Jewish state. According to Newsbusted Anchor Jodie Miller (see video below) the gaffes have become so frequent that the secret service is changing his code name to "Joe Biden."

Nobody in the west really knows if Hamas uses Human Shields or not. There is propaganda on both sides. I do not have any sympathy for Hamas, although I do have plenty of sympathy for the victims being bombed. I am strongly against the Israeli Gov't's stance, but have sympathy for Israeli people affected. There is one small point people who use the human shield argument always leave out, however. All of Hamas's rocket attacks are pointless, and thankfully taken out by the drones. The people of Gaza have no such luck, so why keep bombing them? It only helps Hamas' propaganda machine. Israeli is the super power and must make the first move towards peace and if - a big if - there really are human shields in Gaza, they would not die if Israel stopped firing missiles - that is the bottom line. If someone walked up to me in the street and pulled out a gun and started firing and I grabbed anyone as a shield, who is the murderer - me or the man with the gun in his hand? The human shield argument is therefore irrelevant as long as Hamas' rockets do no damage and Israel's continue to kill and maim.
