Atlantic City Casino Serves Special MLK Jr. Dinner: Fried Chicken And Collard Greens

If anybody is wondering why so many Atlantic City Casinos are going bankrupt, this may be an indication of the reason why....they are run by idiots.

Billed as the Martin Luther King Jr. Special the Metropolitan casual dining restaurant in Atlantic City's Borgata Resort and Casino served a meal of fried chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese — and "a big side of stereotype."

According to the NYDN

“Our general manager of the restaurant is an African-American female who wanted to come up with the menu to celebrate and honor Dr. King,” Joseph Lupo, a top honcho at The Borgata told the Associated Press.

“We allow our managers to run their restaurants. She did research and came up with an authentic recipe. It’s very clear these were his favorite foods.”

Okay, I understand why the attempt was made, but it was Monday instead of Sunday, and unless you put an explanation of why those foods were chosen, the hotel looks like a bunch of racist idiots.  Now that they have explained themselves, they only look like idiots.
