UN-Linked Group Claims Global Warming Was a Cause of the Arab Spring

Folks I know its been  a while but there is good news!  Thanks to a Global Warming NGO Called the RTCC  we can an add to the Official “Stupid Things Used To Fear Monger About Global Warming” List (the RTCC-Responding to Climate Change  describes itself as a Non-Governmental Organization and an official observer to the United Nations climate change negotiations dedicated to raising awareness about climate change issues).

The RTCC's entry on the "Stupid List" is, The Arab Spring. Yep that's right, Global Warming was a contributing factor to the unrest in the Middle East that caused the overthrow of governments. As Dr. Jeffrey Mazo wrote:

At first blush, the question might seem absurd. [ya think?]Surely the myriad long- and short-term social, economic, political and religious drivers of anger and dissent are the obvious culprits. How could climate change have had any – let alone a significant or meaningful – impact on the Arab spring?

 Please don't hold what this guy says against me because we have the same first name.  According to Mazo, Climate Change didn't cause the unrest all on its own, but made it more likely to happen.

Although many other possible pathways not involving climate change could have led to the same end, by increasing the number of sufficient paths, climate change increased the likelihood of that outcome – it multiplied the threat.

Allow me for a moment to explain what he is saying. "Sure it could have been a ton of things, but I say it was climate change so that is what it was---period!" Dr. Mazo continues:

The very complexity and multiplicity of possible paths, of which climate change is but a small part, makes prediction impossible. Any role of climate change in particular events can only be discerned after the fact. Nor can its increased contribution to threats be quantified.

In other words, "I can't prove it or quantify it....but I believe it.... so you must too."

The Global Warming hoaxers must be getting desperate, because this has to be one of the clearest and most ridiculous "scientific" global warming arguments ever.  Dr. Mazo is asking us to have faith that what he says is true, sorry Jeffrey my faith lies elsewhere.

For his efforts and those of the RTCC, Dr. Mazo's claims get added to the "official list." Since July 2009 global warming moonbats have blamed each of the following on global warming, climate change or whatever they decided to call it these days:

Incredible shrinking sheep, Invasion of jellyfish in the Mediterranean, Surge in fatal shark attack, Boy Scout tornado deaths, Global conflict, Beer tasting different, Suicide of farmers in Australia, Bigger tuna fish, longer days, shorter days, Collapse of gingerbread houses in Sweden, Cow infertility, UFO sightings in the UK, Rise in insurance premiums, Heroin addiction, Frigid Cold Winters in Great Britain, Cancer, Death from heart disease, diabetes, stroke, respiratory disease and even accidents, homicide, suicide, water -borne disease outbreaks, heavier, wetter snowstorms treacherous for travel and ambulation, Lyme disease, swarms of allergy-inducing, stinging insects, along with mosquitoes and devastating pine bark beetle infestations and the spread of forest and crop pests, 40,000 dead crabs , unrest in the Middle East. screwed-up love making, the Japanese earthquake-tsunami, horrible rash of tornadoes in southeast United States,extended severe allergy seasons, Lyme disease, malaria or dengue fever, trauma, depression, high blood pressure and heart disease,and increased threat of wars, violence and military action against the UK. migration of possibly rabid Vampire bats from Mexico,   Armed robbery, prostitution, and drug abuse in Ghana.
